  • Stanley T. Johnson Outstanding Key Club President Award
    Each year at the Alabama District Key Club Convention, a Key Club President is recognized for his/her exemplary service as a Key Club President. This individual represents the ultimate leadership and service to Key Club in the Alabama District.The Alabama District invites Key Club Advisors and Sponsoring Kiwanis Clubs to nominate their Key Club President for this award. Nominations must be made in the following manner:
    • Completion of application online (PLEASE NOTE, YOU MUST BE LOGGED INTO A GMAIL ACCOUNT TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION) , which includes
      • Recommendation letter/video from the Key Club Faculty Advisor or Kiwanis Club member outlining leadership and service of the Key Club President
      • Recommendation letter/video from a school official describing the student’s commitment to excellence in serving their school community.

        Applications including recommendations should be submitted by midnight on March 15, 2019

  • The Hoyt. W. Lee Outstanding Kiwanian Award
    Each year at the Alabama District Key Club Convention, a Kiwanian is recognized for his/her exemplary service to the Alabama District of Key Club. This individual
    • has demonstrated the ability to work with and relate to Key Clubbers
    • has shown consistent and quality performance as a Kiwanian
    • is regarded warmly and respectfully by the Key Club members with whom he/she has worked with

      The Alabama District invites Key Club Officers and Faculty Advisors to nominate an Outstanding Kiwanian for this award. Nominations must be made in the following manner:

    • Completion of application online (PLEASE NOTE, YOU MUST BE LOGGED INTO A GMAIL ACCOUNT TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION), which includes  
      • Recommendation letter/video from the Key Club President outlining the dedication of the Kiwanian
      • Recommendation letter/video from the Key Club Faculty Advisor recommending the Kiwanian

        Applications including recommendations should be submitted by midnight on March 15, 2019

  • Robert L. Bottsford Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award
    Each year at the Alabama District Key Club Convention, a Outstanding Club Faculty Advisor is recognized. This individual represents the Advisors of all Key Clubs in the Alabama District and service to youth. Their personal involvement, counseling, leadership and encouragement help each club have outstanding years of service. The Alabama District invites Key Club Officers and sponsoring Kiwanis Clubs to nominate an Outstanding Faculty Advisors for this award. Nominations must be made in the following manner:
    • Completion of application online (PLEASE NOTE, YOU MUST BE LOGGED INTO A GMAIL ACCOUNT TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION), which includes
      • Recommendation letter/video from the Key Club President outlining outstanding efforts of the Advisor
      • Recommendation letter/video from the sponsoring Kiwanis Club recommending the FA

        Applications including recommendations should be submitted by midnight on March 15, 2019




3. DCON Registration

Deadline to register is Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

  • Registration
    The registration cost is $150 per attendee (member, advisor, parent, Kiwanian, etc.). This cost includes a DCON t-shirt, the Keynote Speaker, two meals (dinner on Saturday; brunch on Sunday), a Key Club swag bag and souvenirs, workshop materials, convention mobile app, plus much more!
  • Rooming Options
    Quad: $66
    Triple: $88
    Double: $132
    Single: $264
    For example, an attendee choosing the quad rooming option will pay a total of $216 ($66 + $150).
  • Bus Transportation
    For those traveling from south Alabama, there will be a charter bus leaving from Mobile at a cost of $45 per person.
  • Required Paperwork
    To attend the District Convention, you are required to complete a medical release form. That form can be found by clicking here.
